Paradiski Wipeout has a fresh new look for season 2017/18 with a white background to the map on the cloth and a smart recycled paper pouch! We have currently discounted this produce due to poor print quality. Sadly the map was low resolution and was not spotted until too late.

Covering both La Plagne and Les Arcs Ski Areas, collectively known as Paradiski. The map is the the official and most current resort piste map obtained directly from the ski area.

The winter sports area is situated between the elevations of 1,200 and 3,226 m and with much of the ski resorts situated at over 2,000 m, there is great snow reliability.  A ride on the Olympic bob run of La Plagne (La Roche) offers another alternative.

  • Full size piste map for Paradkiski ski area, split over two sides, with la Plagne on one side and les Arcs on the other side
  • Emergency telephone numbers included
  • Printed on both sides of a microfibre cloth the maps are clear and easy to read, even when wet
  • It won’t tear or get dog-eared and doesn’t need to be carefully refolded
  • Unlikely to blow away in the wind and can be handled easily whilst wearing ski gloves
  • A really effective glasses cleaner for spectacles, sunglasses and ski goggles
  • Size 50 x 25cm, large enough to wrap your goggles, small enough to scrunch up in your pocket
  • The Wipeout comes wrapped in its own little pouch

Did you know? The logo for La Plagne has not been changed for 30yrs. Personally we like the bobble hat logo, others say it needs to be changed 🙁

La Plagne – there is 1 new lift planned for 2016/2017

In the La Plagne ski resort, the guests are transported with modern, comfortable lifts. Almost half of the chair lifts are high speed, detachable lifts. However, the chair lifts do not have weather protectors or seat heaters. The connection to Les Arcs is with a 200-person two-story cable car (Vanoise Express).

  • Number of ski lifts : 92
  • Total capacity : 136,308 passengers per hour
  • Total lift length : 70.5 km

New lifts for 2016/2017

  • Les Envers – 6 person chair lift.  Length : 864m.  Carrying capacity per hour : 2,400

Les Arcs – there are no new lifts planned for 2016/2017 – 2 were finished in 2015

You can access almost all of the runs in Les Arc with chair lifts and gondola lifts. There is a good balance between detachable (rapid) chair lifts and the somewhat older type of lifts. You almost have to search for t-bars lifts! There are some j-bar lifts in the lower areas, but it’s not necessary to use them to access the ski resort. Beginners can comfortably access the blue runs near the villages using chair lifts or gondolas. There are also 16 rope tows located on the ascending parts of the connection slopes throughout the ski resort.

  • Number of ski lifts : 52
  • Total capacity : 86,241
  • Total lift length : 54.4 km

Very detailed map, very handy goggle wipe, scrunches up in your pocket and doesn’t get wet or tear like the paper maps – this is definitely a product worth buying!

‘Wipeout’ lens cloth are very practical and they certainly got a great reception when they were revealed in the paradiski this year. So useful to plot the days route and then nonchalantly wipe your goggles with them afterwards! Next year is ‘trois vallées – so ‘route-plotting’ already in hand.

The map is an up to date copy of the official piste map, it is well printed on a quality cloth. A useful and practical idea. I bought two for my niece and nephew for their trip to Paridiski at Easter, they were thrilled with them.

    Great piece of kit:
Practical – it can’t tear and doesn’t matter if it gets wet. Quicker to open, view and stuff back in pocket than a paper map
Dual purpose – very good soft cloth for goggle wiping. Remember not to wipe your nose with it…
Noticeable – a bit of a talking point on the lifts

Also the postage and packing was extraordinarily fast (I bought two maps this season, 3 Valleys & Les Arcs and both arrived very quickly indeed).

I think this is a fantastic buy if you are seasoning in a resort or visit the same resort regularly. I almost gave this a 4 stars because this is so much more expensive than a free map, and I am concerned that it will be out of date in just a few seasons, but that would have been churlish since I knew this before I shelled out. A second cheaper, slower postage option would be welcome as a way to drive the cost down a bit.

I have maps for most of the major resorts in Europe at this stage. In my view, these are a must for the serious skier. When you get the hang of it, you don’t need to take your gloves off and with care (making sure the map doesn’t blow away!), you can plan as you lift!

In the case of this Paradski map – I haven’t used it yet but the quality is obviously as good as usual and the rest is up to me!

The lens cloth is brilliant. It is fun and unique product. The quality of the item both image and fabric is superb. The cloth cannot tear unlike paper maps so is more environmentally friendly. I had one bought for me previously and have now purchased two other area lens cloths for gifts. The items were delivered super fast too. A great purchase.

I’ve already purchased Wipeout maps for Meribel and St. Anton so getting a La Plagne map was no problem

Bought one of these for La Rosiere last year, great product, so had to have one for this years trip….

I ordered two of these, having heard about them on various ski blogs – they are FANTASTIC! Mine arrived very quickly indeed and show a crisp, clear and detailed image. So much easier to use than large and soggy maps with holes on the fold lines. Looking forward to stuffing them in our pockets in March. Is it normal to be so thrilled about a piste map?! Such good value, too.
